Safety Features
FreeLinc Wireless Systems are engineered with tremendous safety features. Many of these safety features are not available with corded solutions.
ADAPTER SAFETY FEATURES
- Off/On Switch
- Unlike corded accessories, which require the user to remove the adapter from their radio before the radio will work in normal mode, the FreeLinc adapter has an Off/On switch which allows the user to use their radio in normal mode without removing the adapter.
- User Indicator Light
- An indicator light confirms to the user their adapter is paired to a wireless, remote device and is working properly.
- No Batteries
- The adapter does not require batteries and does not diminish the radio battery life in any measurable way.
- Push-to-Talk Button (PTT)
- The adapter has a PTT providing the user another option for transmitting. This enhances officer safety by allowing the officer to key their radio without requiring them to lift their arm, exposing potentially fatal areas not protected by a vest. It allows the user to concentrate their full attention on their subject by not having to divert sight.
- Multiple Remote Device Options
- The adapter will pair with all FreeLinc remote devices
- FreeMic 200 for patrol
- FreeMotion 100 for surveillance
- Dual Muff II for loud noise environments
- The adapter will pair with all FreeLinc remote devices
- Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI) Technology
- The adapter does not need an RF signal to connect to the remote device. Our patented Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI) technology provides enhanced sound quality, no interference issues and robust connectivity.
- Digital Code Security
- The adapter will pair to one remote device. During initial pairing, a 16-bit encryption code is exchanged between the adapter and remote device.

REMOTE DEVICE SAFETY FEATURES
- No Cords, Wires or Cables
- This tremendous safety feature eliminates the dangerous hazards and encumbrances of wires and cords to the officer. It also removes the number one point of failure.
